The sustainable solution: implementation of washable industrial towels

Since November 2022, the Nant-Varin production site has opted to use washable industrial towels in its workshops to replace disposable hand towels and cloths.

The towels are supplied and washed by our service provider who supplies the work clothes. The environmental impact of the transport is neutral because the work clothes and now the washable industrial towels are transported by the same truck.

It should also be noted that the Saint-Etienne site also uses these washable towels.

Objectives :

- To reduce our volume of waste by approximately 2 tonnes per year
- Eliminate a waste product classified as hazardous
- Maintain the quality of cleaning
- Reduction of other environmental impacts:
- No consumption of raw materials
- No creation of waste to be treated (incineration then burial)
- No transport of raw materials and waste
